Post Cycle Therapy is one of the most impotant aspects of a complete , successful hormone cycle. So its highly important to use PCT after finished cycle. To fully understand PCT let us begin with explaining what PCT is and what it is used for.

Post Cycle Therapy also called PCT is supplement that is used after completing a cycle of an anabolic steroids to restoring the body`s natural production of hormones. Because the peroid after the cycle your body`s production of important hormones dip below normal levels. So your body needs to cutting back production to normalize levels because you are no longer adding more.

If you dont use PCT during the low period its a big chance that you lose decent amount of muscle mass you made. So when the hormones levels are too low you will lose protein from musle cells which means loss of muscle! So briefly we can say that PCT is to quickly restore your natural hormone production levels.

The most popular PCT drugs are Clomid, Pregnyl, Aridex, Nolvadex(Tamoxifen), Proviron etc…

In general the time you stay on PCT is about 4 weeks or 1 month and the most PCT products last this long. In general you should also wait about 6 months to begin your next Cycle after your PCT.

You probably have sensitive skin if you have thin or fine skin. Most likely you sunburn easily and your skin freaks out if a product is too harsh. You may have itchy irritated red skin around the nose and around the lips, they may turn black sometimes.

While most products are unacceptable for your skin, there is a way to care for it.

Professional Help

It is a good idea to visit a dermatologist. Dermatologists are skin specialists and can determine just how sensitive your skin is. Another option is to have an allergy test done to figure out what makes your skin go crazy. If visiting specialists is not an option for you, an easy way to see if a product is good for your skin is to apply a sample of every new product you buy–make-up, moisturizer, sun block, or cleanser–on one small patch of your face such as along the jawline. While you may think that testing some skin on the inside of your wrist is adequate, the skin on your arm may not be as sensitive as the skin on your face, so a wrist test is not necessarily an accurate test for a skin reaction.

Avoid using hydrogen peroxide or strong alchol as these tend to be too strong for sensitive skin. Find cleansers and lotions with calming ingredients such as lavender, sandalwood, chamomile, and rose. There are also a lot of great organic, all-natural products out today. Dermalogica is one of the reputable name.

Skin care at home

Wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, with either a soft washcloth or your hands. Since your skin is so sensitive, it is best to tone only once per day. It does not matter whether you tone day or night, though I personally like to tone at night and follow toning with moisturizer. Your skin cannot tell whether it is morning or night. If toning once a day is drying out your skin, skip toning altogether. Everyone’s skin is different. Avoid exfoliators as well, and limit exfoliating to once a week or every other week.

Make Up

Make-up is a tricky thing for sensitive skin. Be sure to buy make-up and any moisturizers (even sunscreen) that are hypoallergenic and fragrance free. When looking for make-up, also find products that are oil-free, non-comedogenic, and water based. There have been recent products that are all minerals that have been successful for some people. The most popular brand I have seen is Bare Minerals, but Neutrogena and Physician’s Formula also have new mineral lines as well.

Sunscreen

Always wear sunscreen, even on a cloudy day. Sunscreen will protect against the harmful UV rays and prevent you from getting sunburn or worse, skin cancer. Pick one that is gel-based rather than oil-based, with a SPF count of at least 15 for everyday use, higher if you are working outside or at the beach. Since a lot of sunscreens do cause irritation to sensitive skin, a natural sunscreen that can be used is aloe vera gel. Either use the one hundred percent aloe vera gel or buy/grow the plant and snap the tip off of the leaf and use its gel.

Don’t forget that the health of your skin is related to the health of your diet. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. This will help the skin cleanse any toxins.

Avoid excessive exposure to sun. Stay protected from the sun to prevent the skin from becoming dehydrated and the damaging effects of UV rays on the skin. It may result in sunburn. Read the sunburn symptoms. You may also develop sun poisoning symptoms.

Avoid excessive use of cosmetics. Health experts say that excessive usage of cosmetics by children enhances their risk to various types of cancer and other problems later in life. Most of cosmetic products use potentially dangerous chemicals like parabens and phthalates. The parabens chemical have been recently found in breast cancer tissues. This chemical can affect the hormone oestrogen. The phthalates are linked to lower sperm counts in men, premature breast development and allergies.

Regular sleep gives our body the chance to work on repairing cells.

Regular Exercising and massage stimulates circulation and blood flow.

Drinking eight glasses of water a day keeps skin plump, hydrated and healthy. The body is composed of 70% water. Well hydrated skin is healthy and young looking.

Take only warm showers and stay away from prolonged sauna exposure.

Before you go in the swimming pool, rub Vaseline with a few drops of lavender essential oil added, on your body to protect the skin from the harmful effects of chlorine.

Eat a balanced diet, avoid foods high in fat, cholesterol and sodium.

Follow an anti-aging diet rich in fruits and green leafy vegetables that are full of natural antioxidants. Antioxidants help prevent free-radical damage to the body. If you do not get enough antioxidants from your diet, then your skin cells could lose their ability to function well.

The antioxidants include ingredients such as vitamins A, C and E, flavonoids, beta carotene, selenium, glutathione and zinc. Eat foods high in antioxidants.

Is it safe to say that many of us have veered away from a hair care routine predominantly filled with commercial products out of curiosity or education about more natural alternatives? Were you one day sitting, facial cleanser in hand, wondering why, if, and how your skin-care practices can shift as well? Here are a few alternatives to the typical Noxema, Cetaphil, and Neutragena-type influenced facial care practices.

Cleanser Alternatives:

Black Soap

A soap composed of plantain, palm oil, cocoa ash, and unrefined shea butter with other variations and oils added depending on it’s source of origin.

Neem Soap

Another plant derived soap. It contains great antibacterial properties that are ideal to use on the face to treat blemishes. It also has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.

Oil Cleansing

A method that excuses the use of cleansers containing harsh detergents and lye based soaps. The idea behind oil cleansing is that oils dissolve oils ( a feature water does not possess), so steaming the face after an oil massage is a gentle and relaxing way to detox the skin and pull impurities from the pores with out causing irritation.

The soaps can be used as is or fashioned into a liquid soap that you can add oils or other moisturizers to to keep the soaps from being overly drying if you have sensitive skin.

To get a basic idea of how to liquify your soap check out this link from DutchessGabrielle on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GdVHRkhSlQ

She also has a great educational series about natural products, in general~ and you can find tutorials on how to create other products for your skin care arsenal as well.

To see the effectiveness of oil cleansing on problematic acne, check out TheNaprika’s OCM video: http://youtu.be/i1nqu0jpMG4

To read more on Oil cleansing, check out this blog post by Dominique: http://allthingsonatural.blogspot.com/2011/01/lets-talk-skin-oil-cleansing-method.html

Exfoliant Alternatives:

Dead Sea Salt or Granulate Sugar scrubs.

Encourage increased blood flow to the skin and help to remove dead skin cells that can harbor the bacteria that results in inflammation and blemishes.

Toner Alternatives:

Witch Hazel

A commonly used, widely available, anti-inflammatory astringent.

Apple Cider Vinegar Dilution

Readily found in your kitchen pantry. It acts as an astringent as well.

Aloe Vera

A soothing and anti- inflammatory topical treatment.

These are simple and easy to find solutions to tone your skin gently without the irritation that is typical of artificially crafted toners. While these three can be used independently, they can also be combine into one mixer depending on your preference and needs. I sometimes like to add grapeseed oil to my toner since it is a natural astringent, and provides a moisture and light protection from the sun. Astringents help to balance out oiliness and close up pores.

I thought I would like to share this bit and piece of a reading I saw just now.

The history of natural skin care.

Natural skin care has its roots in the 4th millennium BC in China and the Middle East. It is believed that the Egyptians developed many natural skin care treatments for a variety of skin conditions. One such treatment consists of bullock’s bile, whipped ostrich eggs, olive oil, dough and resin mixed with milk. In the modern age many people with unique skin types and needs (sensitive skin, dry skin, oily skin) have turned to natural skin care solutions.

Remember, if each of us is doing one good thing with a natural product, we can safe our mother earth, not just doing good deeds to our very own skin.

Men are increasingly demanding natural skin care products, according to the editor of Men’s Health magazine.

Lee Kynaston says blokes are now inquiring and requesting all-natural products for their unique skin care issues, SkinInc website reports.

Apparently men are worried that looking old and showing signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, could make them less competitive in the workplace.

SkinInc also reports other increasing trends in the natural skin care industry.

Sales of organic cosmetics in the USA are increasing every year, and baby boomers are looking for healthier alternatives including natural or organic food, clothing, make-up and even pet food.

Young people are also increasingly going for organic food, clothing and skin care, says the website.

Chemists are now rushing to satisfy this demand – just make sure that you go for products which are really “green” and “natural”.

Look out for products which are accredited by organisations such as the Soil Association, USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) National Organic Program, Eco Cert or the Energy Saving Trust.
